Texas to North Carolina

Day 1: Texas to Meridian, Mississippi

State Line at Louisiana. We stopped and had a picnic.

Mississippi visitor center. It overlooked the Mississippi River. Absolutely beautiful and full right now. Michael says "that we saw a train coming over the bridge and we felt ultra American!"
In Vicksburg, Mississippi, we visited the first coke bottling plant. We shared a coke float, and saw a 1983 championship bottle for the wolfpack!

We stopped at a KOA in Meridian, Mississippi. This was our first meal of the trip! YUM!
Day 2: Meridian, Mississippi to Statesville, North Carolina.
Alabama State line.

World's largest chair in Anniston, Alabama.
Georgia state line.
White house replica in North Atlanta. 3/4 the size of the actual one. We saw a black Escalade coming down the driveway as we drove by. We quickly stopped at the South Carolina and North Carolina borders, but we were just ready to get there so no pictures. We will be in North Carolina until next Tuesday!

Total Miles: 1,100
